It would be great if Plex could show an estimate of the disk space required when choosing to sync media. Being able to select bitrate is great, but it would be awesome if it also showed how much space this would take

Thanks for the suggestion. I will raise it with our server team, but I fear it’s going to be one of those things where we wont know how well the video will compress until we actually do the work of compressing it.

Thanks. I think an estimate should be possible. After all, you can select a bitrate, and Plex knows the filesize and current bitrate, so it should be quite straightforward to estimate what the converted filesize would be
