About to suggest same and glad I found the thread.
+1 for the suggestion and would love to see that. ![]()
+1 for this
I just found this older suggestion which is asking for pretty much the same (and has pretty much the same amount of votes). Keep in mind… when that suggestion was created, there’s been no smart collections – hence they’re coming from a slightly different angle but in consequence argue the same case.
Given those suggestions are so close, I feel we should combine them.
Any strong opinions?
I see no strong conflicts, both compliment one another. This request is primarily towards having Pin option (while making them as Library as secondary), while the other request is specifically making Collections/Filters as Library which in turn will give Pin functionality.
Edit: You may want to make other thread title a little more describable/friendly.
+1 from me!
Just to chime in here, this would be great for my setup as well. I have separate libraries for kid’s movies, english-language movies, foreign-language movies and sometimes they tend to blur because I have the same movie in two libraries as I have it in several languages or it’s not necessarily a kid’s movie but has an G/PG rating or a dubbed kid’s movie, which I would like to watch in the original language. Double the space requirements and double the metadata.
tl;dr: pinned collections would be super!
As the title says;
It would be great if we can pin the (Smart) Collections to the sidebar.
Like I have a Smart Collection “Dutch Movies”.
It would be easier to pin this collection instead of making a new library.
In this way it won’t cost twice the metadata.
It could be possible to either pin the collection or let the collection act like a “library” so you can share that “library” with your shared users as well… in that way it would be easier for them to pin that to their own sidebar. But just pinning the collection would also be fine ofcourse! ![]()
