Today, when I opened the Plex program , it said that Crackle was added! I have no idea what that is, but I do NOT want it! I want to be able to watch my recordings and movies, not the stuff that PLEX keeps adding.
That damned Crackle was there, but nothing else is working!! How does PLEX keep having access to my Mac to add stuff that I do NOT want, because I keep deleting the updates???
PLEASE PLEX people, do NOT change or add anything, because my daughter went to a lot of trouble to get things back to the way they were before all of your updates screwed everything up!
“Crackle” being added simply refers to their content being added to the Movies & TV section (Plex’ video on demand service). That’s not on your server. If you don’t like it, simply disable that online media source. https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/online-media-sources
Also… that content won’t interfere with your local server, your content etc – so if this isn’t working, there’s probably some other issue.
After bitching on this forum and to my daughter the super techie, she used her remote access to my PLEX and fixed it! She had me delete the crackle and the free added movies and now I’m back to being a happy camper!
