Voice commands do not always find all my library

I use the voice search on shield and on a me cool Km1 android tv box. And I cant seem to ever get the voice search to fully see my library. So I say a show one time it grabs it quick. Next time it only shows google play movies.
Then yet it misses a series/Movie completely sometimes too. IS this something I can do or is just how the system is?
