I’ve tried searching for an existing post but couldn’t find one.
It would be nice to have the orange unwatched markers on collections in your library.
Currently if you have movies or series in a collection there is no way of knowing if it is unwatched unless you open the collection.
Could work exactly like it does for a series, where it would show the number of unwatched items inside the collection. Either the amount of unwatched movies or the amount of unwatched episodes within all series in a series collection.
Yes! Would be great to have an indicator within collections view to see the # of unwatched items. Would also be great within the collection view to limit it to only collections that have unwatched items.
Sometimes you get in the mood to have a binge session but not sure what you want to binge so you want to see collections that you haven’t watched yet.
I really can’t believe this functionality is not already built-in. Is everybody actually opening each collection to see if there’s unwatched movies in it???
Yes, but then collections disappear and all movies will be in one giant list. So if I always have use the unwatched filter, there’s no actual use for collections at all.
My remark was in response to your point/question if others open all collections to see their unwatched items. You can see those unwatched all at once using the filter — along all the other unwatched items.
The strange thing is that this doesn’t feel like this would technically be difficult to implement. As you say, TV series have a UI for this.
Logically, Collections behave very similarly to Series. Not identically, of course (that is, not every collection is a series - you might have a theme collection or an actor collection etc) which is why they’re not the same thing but, even if you have a genre collection which has a few hundred items in it, would it be so bad to see that there are still a few hundred unwatched in it?
