I would love the ability to add an optional custom note to watchlist items. Often times I am with friends or family who suggest a movie so I add them to the watchlist, but later forget why they are there. It would be nice to have some context as to why I added them. As an added bonus, you could have it auto tag items that were added as a result of watching a trailer.

- After this is activated, you’ll get the ability to comment on activities. And not only your friend’s activities but also your own. Put your notes into such a comment on the “Watchlisted” event.
You can quickly get to it from the title’s page inside your Watchlist. - Use the same way to look at your comments.
Of course this is far from perfect. If there is high activity on an item, your notes may get flushed to the bottom of the activities list.

I’d love this, too. I’ve been using Plex’s watchlist to collect recommendations for a while… and have no idea why most of the stuff is on my list. My memory is bad, and some are things I want to watch with the kids, or with my wife, or just on my own.
I should probably find another solution, with multiple lists too… but plex is my goto
