I’ve been using PlexConnect without issue for the past 6 months, but suddenly I can’t get it to work anymore. I can still access my Plex locally or remotely via the Android app, but every time I tried to use my aTV, after a moment it says there are “No Plex Library Sections Available”.

I tried changing the settings.cfg to force my local IP to see if that was causing the problems. I’ve also tried reinstalling PlexConnect, rebooting my computer, aTV, and my router to no avail. I’m stuck watching now via my Chromecast, but my housemates are technically inept making that a less than ideal solution for them.

Experiencing the exact same symptoms and have made basically the same attempts at resolution.

Poesy: Your PMS got its local IP changed recently? From 10.8… to 192.168…
Unfortunately plex.tv still remembers the 10.8… address as well, which - for some reason - is picked up by PlexConnect (yeah, the discovery process still needs some improvement - anyone to re-code the process from aTV4/PlexConnectApp to python?).

In the PMS/plex.tv settings, go to “Devices”, then remove your PMS from the list. After that do a PMS republish and/or re-sign. The hope is that this would get rid of the “bad” IP, thus allowing your PMS to be talked to.

IainBest: If yours really is the same issue, try the same. Otherwise please post a log with loglevel=“High”.

Removing my device and then setting it back up again seemed to have done the trick. I had to log out from the aTV again after doing it, but it works like a charm again!

My local IP hasn’t changed at all in months though, so I have no idea what caused things to get all confused. Oh well, thanks!

Removing and reading my server fixed the problem. My PMS IP hasn’t changed in months either.

Thanks for assistance baa!

Digging out a somewhat old thread…

The issue described here should have been resolved with the changes made today. PlayConnect will now check every given connection (not only one per PMS), accepting the fastest as valid.

I know, we had numerous posts about that… so everyone feel free to download the latest, test the stuff and respond with your results!
