Web Client Plex Pass 3.69.1 vs. Web Client Non Plex Pass 3.77.2

Hi,

Can someone please explain to me why the web client for Plex Pass Users and Plex Media Servers is more out dated than a standard user login without Plex Pass / Plex Media Servers.

My Main admin Plex Web client 3.69.1 is missing the nice functions that the normal web client has, the main one I want is the ability to manage subtitles (Download More Subtitles). Which you can do through standard Web client version 3.77.2.

Some clarity around this would be nice. Surely as the main admin login and management site for your servers etc. the most amount of functionality should be available here.

Thanks,
Mark.

The bundled version is not updated with each new Plex Media Server version released so using the local installed app by going to 127.0.0.1:32400 or the local IP address of the server ex: 10.0.1.30:32400 will always be a different version versus the online version from app.plex.tv.

Understood, are there plans to bring this version up to date?

Or should one just manage things through the online version.

The bundled web app is updated occasionally, not sure of how often though. You can look at the Plex Media Server Release Announcements to see what updates/fixes are released with each version. It looks like the last version that had a Web Update was 1.13.9.5439 when the Web was updated to 3.69.1.
