Scraping from youtube is against their terms of service. We work with content creators/owners who choose to be included. Such as Lon.tv. they might be the same videos that are on youtube but webshows does not stream from youtube.

Why not just let us add the channels we want? I don’t understand why plex is “curating” or managing this list at all? Why not just let us put a link to the youtube channel we want to add… We can assign a poster to the show, or choose not too…
I love the idea of integrating web services into the plex media player, but this is a completely ass backerds way of approaching it.

Plex bros, can you create a category filter so when we browse ‘all’ we can find what might interest us quicker? I mean eventually it’s probably going to get pretty filled up and annoying to find new things.

I bet they are crawling the the channel they ‘curate’ and also setting up a way to automatically detect new episodes in order to update the links in their database and some other things to get it to play in their player… or some garbage like that.
