Webhook for who is watching on PMS and notifications

I would like to know if another user is on my Plex server by username and what they are watching. Additionally, I’d like to have a webhook for me to POST a message to users on the PMS. For example, if someone is watching to display that the server will be rebooted soon.

Or can I do that now? I didn’t think the triggers were there…

You currently can send messages to users when you actively stop/cancel their playback from the activity view / now playing dashboard.

This is also where you can easily see who is watching stuff on your server.
Alternatively you can enable and configure Push Notifications (requires Plex Pass):

  1. enable push notifications on your server (check Push Notifications in Settings > Server > General)
  2. configure what messages you want to see on your supported client
