So it sounds like Apple could change just the Trailers channel, the same way it can add and subtract channels, to break our use of it, without needing a firmware update.
Lets hope they don't see any harm in PlexConnect, as it actually makes the Apple TV much a more viable product.
I haven't used my WD TV Live since the PlexConnect solution came along.
If I knew it wasn't going to be blocked, I would recommend it to others instead of the WD TV Live.

Just rebooted the aTV and now it doesn't seem to trigger PlexConnect's WebServer any more...

same with me but as soon as I rebooted my aTV (not long ago) it stopped working :-(
Seeing an intercept and a push to data.iana.org, not sure if significant or not but just happened to notice that as I extinguished the PlexConnect candle for now :(
i guess I'll make use of smithsonian channel and just wait for a fix. plex team rock, sure they;ll find a solution, right?
They've gone and done it.
Both my identical Apple TV 3's have stopped working with PlexConnect without any restarts.
In its place Apple has 'gifted' us vevo which just seems to be pop videos for kids.
PlexConnect gave Apple TV the chance to be a serious device, rather than a consumer, pay per everything, lifestyle marketing, trojan horse.
Now i'm annoyed

Don't know if anyone else noticed this but after the recent PlexConnect no longer working with 5.3 piece we've all been commenting on today, now Trailers is working in B4. Must have been part of this updated app/push and putting an end to PC for now.

you've got to be kidding me! i just downgraded from beta 4 back to the latest like 15 mins ago and last i checked trailers app still wasn't working on beta 4
