Whenever I try to delete my account, it instead sends an email for me to reset my password

You must first reset your password.
Until you do, high-risk actions like deleting accounts or confirming email addresses are not possible.

I just managed to do it but in the mobile version of the site when you select user and it says to enter pin, the keyboard doesn’t launch, so change to desktop view and it should let you do it.
