Which Plex for Android apk should I install for Zidoo z9x 8k

I am about to purchase a Zidoo z9x 8k. I want to install Plex on it. I found the “Plex for Android” download page (I have PlexPass). Which version should I download for a Zidoo z9x 8k?

DOWNLOAD APK

    Google Play (armv7a)
    Google Play (arm64v8a)
    Google Play (x86)
    Google Play (x86_64)
    Amazon AppStore (armv7a)
    Amazon Fire OS Devices (armv7a)

Does it support the Google Play store?

If so, install via the store. It will pick the correct version.

It does. I was sold on installing the Google Play store. The Zidoo z9x 8k ships without Google Play Store. Zidoo offers a firmware upgrade at their website that adds the Google Play store, but once that upgrade is done there’s no going back. So, I’m wondering if I should just install the Plex for Android apk

The box has the Amlogic S928X-K CPU, which is ARMv8.

You could sideload the Plex app and see how it works. You will not get auto-updates, since those are delivered via Google Play.

Thank you @ FordGuy61 . I don’t see ARMv8 in the list of apk’s for Android.

Just to confirm, for the older z9x armv7a is the correct version??
Running a super old version since it allows play version for media…

I’ll give 10.23 a shot…
(Also using plex for zidoo , and plex in kodi, but a newer stand alone would be nice)

Note: Use the Google Play builds. If you’ve an Amazon device, then use the Fire OS build.

Look up the device specifications. It should list the CPU. Then google the CPU.

Example: OP has link to device. Overview says it has a Amlogic S928X-K cpu.

Google search: “Is the Amlogic S928X-K ARMv8”

Ha! It was staring me right in the face. That’d be right! Thanks, mate!

I have the same device and have google play installed, I installed plex via playstore and the UI is quite tiny compared to plex UI on nvidia shield or other android tv devices.
