Anyone know why I can’t watch some shows? Example Chicago fire just gives me an option to ad it to my watch list but I can’t watch the episodes…

On the iPhone,do you even see the Play button for the episode?
You say add to watchlist, do you mean add to Playlist?
My mom has plex and the kids can watch it if they login to her account but this is what we get on our account.
I don’t think that show is available from from Plex’s free-to-watch (with ads) online media … at least not in the US region. That’s what “Add to Watchlist” usually means on https://watch.plex.tv.
I’m curious how you’re getting to that screen, and how your mom’s account is able to watch it.
In the Plex app, you’re searching for “Chicago Fire” and that shows up? Does it show up under Movies & Shows - On Plex?
Is there any chance that your mom has a Plex server herself, or access to a Plex server where the owner has shared Chicago Fire with her?
Your app looks different from mine. Is it updated?

I was able to duplicate the screenshot. In Safari, I searched for the show on https://watch.plex.tv/. It prompted me to open the Plex app, and looks just like OP’s screenshot.
I wonder if it’s intended to work this way at all, or if it’s an accidental preview of future functionality.
I’m still curious if OP’s mom has a Plex server, or access to a friend’s Plex server, where she can watch Chicago Fire.

I did the ssme with Firefox. Wondered why you would want to add to a watchlist that you can’t watch.
