Why can i watch my HD home run app on my windows 10 server without problems BUT.

Yes. I have 200meg up from my server and 10 meg down to my phone most everywhere.

Thank you

That would depend on what each device can handle. With my iPhone I found I needed to reduce the Extend settings from Highest Quality to Medium Quality (540p) to be able to reliably stream Live TV when away from home, in the house it seems to work with High Quality selected don’t recall what it did with Highest Quality selected. I would think that the Roku would be happier with a h264 stream but you would probably need to reduce the Extend setting to High Quality to get the Extend to deinterlace the stream before streaming. I am not sure what this would do on the Roku but can try to test tonight when I get home from work. I don’t have a Note 5 but I see that you mentioned it working fine earlier in this thread. With it being an Android device that is what I would have expected. Both the Fire TV and Shield that I have at home play content from Plex fine for me with no transcoding on the server. Even the 1080i content is deinterlaced at the device from what I recall.

If you could test that would be great. Thanks

HDHR app was great… Until I bought the DVR service. After a week, I realized I donated $35 to them. HDHR’s DVR is junk! When I contacted them, they tried to blame my computer. It’s a brand new Alienware I7 8700k. I tested over and over, but ended up realizing their DVR is even worse than plex. HDHR’s support was just terrible IMO.

Thanks for the tip! The reoccurring charge is a show stopper for me.

Well each to their own, but I have been running HDHR dvr for around 6 months with all the plex problems. Never had a failed recording will play on all my devices, my wife finds it easy to use and it just works. I don’t want to pay the 35.00 but until I can depend on plex I will.
