LOL, us old farts can remember when we first found Plex, way back when it was purely a stand alone Mac Application and only worked with USB HD (it was not available on any other platform, let alone the ones that had not be even invented), no internet needed unless you wanted the pretty posters etc, Plex has been around a long long time. i first used it on a very old white mac mini, with a USB 1 HD playing SD content.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly. I am soon moving to a country with historically bad internet. But I’ve got my own entertainment content so it shouldn’t be a huge issue. Kind of like my entertainment backup generator. I have to find some other media server software because this is the most important aspect of having my own server in my home.
