I am playing a video and I have the web player set to Play Original Quality. The server is passing video through Direct Stream, But it is trans-coding the audio (DTS Stereo to AAC).
Why? How do I prevent that?
If the client does not support the audio format, Plex will transcode it to a supported format.
Plex Web probably supports the least amount of formats, due to the limitations of web browsers.
If you are using a Mac or Windows PC, try Plex for Mac/Windows desktop application. It is a more capable client, direct playing most audio formats.
