The shuffle button is a constant in our house, so its removal in the new preview was definitely noticed. After years of being on the main page, why was it moved behind the ellipsis button? It has a well-known icon (it wouldn’t be confusing), and there’s plenty of room in that row.
For some shows, the only things behind the dots are literally “Shuffle” and “Go To TV Shows”. Those could have both fit on the main screen, so it’s an extra click and a level of obscuring for no clear reason. Even for screens where there are more options, such as Watch Together, I’d still make the case for the shuffle button to be kept on the home page.
This was a surprisingly large reduction in WAF in the house. I’m sure there had to be a well thought-out reason, but I just can’t place it.
