Why Mixed Media?

I have all my media segregated to suit my family, now I have Aliens in the same mixed folder as Tangled?

When was anyone asked if this could occur - do we the user not get any choice except for one (very poor) size fits all design?

This is a very backwards step.
I moved to Xbox one when MS stopped supporting media centre - this new design makes me seriously consider moving to another media player.

I don’t completely understand I don’t think.

I just have several libraries for different genre (comedy, animation, drama, action). You can have as many libraries as you like, and make separate playlists for a different type of films.

You don’t mention television, but if you have any TV it should be in a totally separate folder, though different series can by put into the same folder, such comedies – as long you follow the naming conventions closely.

I have been using plex for several years without issue.

I have always had my movie libraries set up as 2 separate folders both renamed movies folders, one for adults to go into the other for children - it worked for me

I don’t want to go through my library classifying the films by genre when previously I could name the folder they were in whatever and it worked for an adult or child to access the reliant folder - but not anymore the new Xbox app shoves everything into one folder.

Also - If I add a new title it is not on the home screen suggesting I watch it - I have to go search - why make it harder?

Same for part watched items, I rarely get the chance to watch an entire movie - now the part watched items are gone too, how does that help or make my life any easier?

How is this blank home screen an improvement Plex?

  • I did not ask for this and I really don’t want it!

Think I recall you cant roll back xbox apps - if it is possible, what version puts it back? and how do I stop it updating?

i believe everything you mentioned is still there in the HOME or MOVIE hub unless I’m not understanding you correctly.
