Willing to code a plugin but there is no Guide! Please Help

Hi! I’m trying top develop my first plugin and followed the guide on wiki, but I had no results after few hours playing with it. Here is my code: I’m using Plex 8.0. Site configuration file is in Site config folder of plex media server, the strm file is on my desktop. Thanks for any help!!!

I had the same trouble … but here are a few pointers:



The Plug-in I wrote



This has relative good documentation … I tried to explain what I did at various steps in the process.



So the SITECONFIG is definitely the first step … look at the one I included in the plug-in.



Most of my troubles came from WRONG colors.

I get this error in terminal:

  The *url should be decoded url address to the video file, just like this one: http://www.tvn24.pl/2229929,0,0,1,1,tele_wizja,wideo.html
  
  , but for some reason it isn’t. All the videos on the TV station page start with www.tvn24.pl and end with wideo.html is that the point where I should make some changes??

It works! I’m very messy at coding and forgot to close some brackets:) Now the video plays and I’m eager to learn how to transform my work into a real plugin! Please point me to some threads where I can start with basics!

For others looking for some help don’t forget to:

1. Open Console and navigate to Plex logs: they will update after you will try to load you config site and give you info what is wrong!
   
   
   
2. Start this in Terminal: same as Console but a bit more specific! (it informed me of a missing bracket for example!)
   
   
   
   ~/Library/Application\ Support/Plex/Plex\ Media\ Server.app/Contents/MacOS/Plex\ Media\ Server
