Windows -> Linux, Requested: 2022 Guidance

Regarding transferring an install from Windows to Linux, slightly dated forum topics mention porting over 4 folders (Media, Metadata, Plug-in Support, and Plugins); however, third-party plugins will no longer be (officially) supported. Is it necessary/recommended to still include [EDIT] removing plugin-specific databases/directories from Plug-in Support (for plugins that are no longer in use) and Plugins, and if not, what of the sub-directories within Media and Metadata that contain plugin-specific directory names for the dated plugins? No need to continue to waste unnecessary space.

Apologies if this has been made mention elsewhere in documentation/forums.

Use this guide:

You need to move the Plug-in Support folder as it contains your database!
Don’t mess with the Media and Metadata folders.

Doh, of course. Thanks, @tom80H. I’m editing the original post, but I should have specified it to “removing plugin-specific databases/directories for plugins that are no longer in use”. I had to manually remove (per this Reddit thread suggestion I found) to clean up dated plugins that are no longer in the system.
