I have a great number of private audio recordings (family souvenirs, private recitals, conference, radio interviews, lectures, etc.). Many come with pictures or videos taken at recording time, associated documents and other kind of pictures.
As for now, I have to split everything in two librairies: pictures and videos on one side, and “music” on the other, althought both library covers the same event.
This make browsing very awkward, not very useful as a matter of fact.
A new Library type that would inclue all type of media would be very much useful.
In that library, audio files (mp3, wav, etc.) doesn’t need to access a web catalog as there are not Music (in the sense of published recording), be just to be played through Plex.
In that library, folder browsing would be dominant most of the time.
