Will WMV playback natively through Flip4Mac?
Working on a new plugin for a site that uses ASX playlists linking to WMV files.
The site uses SilverLight for playback but I've managed to reverse-engineer the SOAP requests down to the WMV URL.
Can I give this URL to the Plex plugin API directly?

I'm assuming the Flip4Mac plugin is installed and supports playback of the WMV file, of course.
In other words, I can open those URLs from Quicktime Player without problems.

It depends, is the WMV file DRMed? if not and it’s playable by ffmpeg you might be able to just pass the URL to plex and have it play directly. Check out CNET and Apple Movie Trailers for examples of this.
