I’ve re-encoded my Babylon 5 DVD’s from 720x480 to 1280x854.
EVERY player I’ve used (android, chromecast, web) detects the aspect ratio perfectly.
When I play the file on the xbox and have SRT subtitles on it plays in a 4:3 aspect ratio and detects it simply as 720p.
When I switch over to the VobSub subtitles it plays at the right aspect ratio (I assume this is when it re-encodes as your known issues are with VobSubs).
I don’t see any options to change aspect ratio so I’m stuck re-encoding… Is there something I’m missing?
