Yeah, that’s a good point. Emby uwp app gets updated about weekly. And it supports offline sync.

Great option for the new crop of windows tablets, laptops, 2-in-1s, etc.

I’m really baffled that the plex devs don’t seem to grasp what uwp apps are and how they are different than windows mobile apps

Obligatory note: I’m an early adopter and a connector, others ask me for recommendations on hardware and software. I may pay for both services myself but I only recommend one to others. I used to recommend plex but that’s changing. It seems that lately plex’s focus has been on things that are not of interest to me or my friends and family (ie. media/content first approach and the new gui, news, podcasts, etc.). This new focus seems to take away from other things that matter like supporting the windows uwp ecosystem, codec issues taking forever to fix, etc. Emby on the other hand keeps focusing on the things that do matter to us.

So… LG tv’s got an update, there’s new betas for Samsung tv’s and roku. I’m tempted to tag elan as he seems to be around on the forums to get the official answer. Even a no, we’re not investing time in the app is fine with me. Anything but silence.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for an official response. We’ve been waiting for many months already.

Sync on Windows (and Mac, becuase why not) devices. This is the only major functionality the Windows app has that the other clients don’t. If it’s added to PMP and the windows store app is just killed off that would be perfectly fine in my book.

Also, why do we only hear from someone on a seperate team? I appreciate it, but when only one person (working on different things!) volunteers to listen at all it’s not a good look.

I’d love to see updates on this too (The topic and also the app). I totally dislike the structure of PMP, that’s why I was so happy to just have noticed there’s a windows app, too. But an app which isn’t under ongoing development seems to be no alternative either, even tho I love the windows store app wayyy better. Please update this and focus on developing this one instead of PMP :confused:
