I have a first gen, 256 RPi. Class 10 SDHC card, using with component out (yellow) to an SDTV. It is stuck at the “Now Loading” screen with the RasPlex logo.
Steps to reproduce.
Use “getRasplex” app on OSX 10.10.4 to download and image SD card.
modify config.txt to include
sdtv_mode=0
sdtv_aspect=1
for SDTV support, and comment out force_hdmi whatever
boots up in the Pi, openELEC screen shows partitions expanding as required.
Image showing on SDTV no problem
reboots
OpenELEC screen again, no more expanding progress, shows (.7.0 official)
RasPlex Now Loading…
hangs here for 10+ minutes, until I shut it off.
ALSO tried
image
put into Pi.
no video, wait 10 mins
(doesn’t accept SSH connections)
power off
plug SD card into Mac
Make SDTV changes as before
back into Pi, image is back, stuck on same screen
issue us reproducible, happens with .6 and .7. Worked previously with 0.4.1
Tried reformatting partition scheme as well, no change. (using MBR currently)

Please help!
Rasplex after 0.4.1 will not work on 256 RPi1, sorry.

Why does the installer offer a config for RP1 if it is not compatible?
RPi1 refers to the Raspberry Pi 512 Model B and B+, RPi2 refers to the 1024 Model B2, as outlined here RasPlex Installers – RasPlex under ‘Stuff you should have’.
