I am so non tech that i wasn’t sure what catagory my problem should be in. i new with all of this kind of stuff i did purchase Plexpass when i signed up it seems worth the money. in fact i believe i may have bought it twice because i think i tried to get Plex back in July but could never figure out how it works. anyhow i signed up with the extras and i have a player said to d/l server next. which i did then installed but player says cant find a server. i go to files to look for it and when i click it the install helper thing pops up and buttons options are repair / uninstall/ cancel. i pick repair and have done it several times still nothing works. on my last attempt i chose uninstall then i reinstall it, i thought possible progress cuz i told i needed restart system, first time for that to happen, i rebooted went to the place app buttons are at. i click the player it still cant connect to server need to d/l it. then all the stuff from above happen again. there is a chance i used different user name and email addy when i tried to get it to work back in july because when i tried to set plex up this time it said user name or email addy not availble also when i click the player button from the app section screen shows sign up or sign in choices when i click sign in the screes says i have to log onto site from different device and put the code in the box there. i would really like to get it running properly on my PC before adding devices. also i wad unsure which server button to d/l i have windows 10 home edition but system also has the NIVIDA GeForce stuff on it whatever it does and i have no idea what the NAS option is for.

Plex operates a client and server model.
You need Plex Media Server to serve the media and a client to play it. I would suggest Plex Media Player as it’s is probably the easiest to use. If you email them, they should be able to fix the double plex pass payment.
I’m not worried about the money I can’t get the server part to load or do what it is supposed to do. Don’t have a clue how to make it work. But thank you for responding to my question
