Just got my new AppleTV and PlexConnect still works great
I’ve installed the Certificate (“Send Data to Apple” thing still works https://goo.gl/uQUZb1) and “iMovie Theater” from the Appstore. Then just pointed it to the right dns-ip and … voila!
(I assume you have an working plexconnect setup with Settings.cfg hosttointercept set to www.icloud.com)
— Sorry if it was disscussed somewhere else but i could not find anything.
the navigation bar at the top of the screen is white and the movie posters have this apple tv 4 “shakiness”, beside that everything is basically the same. but the interface looks quite dated when you get used to the new colorful one…

I’m gonna try pushing some of the new tvml interface code through PlexConnects xml converter and see if we can get access to the new interface features.
The Trailers app, be it iOS or tvOS is not available in all countries, possibly due to licensing rights. For example, I’m in Canada and I do NOT see the trailers app at all, but apparently the US regions do see it.
I cannot get this working. I set hostointercept = www.icoud.com and cert to use the proper cert file, created the SSL Cert and added to a profile, installed the profile. Set my DNS and still no go.
To note in one instance I used a different dans server I have locally which has worked with the aTV3, but that gives the message about movies you had to iMovie Theater blah blah. If I switch to use plexconnect as the DNS server then it try loading but results in a black screen.
Okay. I could not get trailers or home movies working, but I am happy to report that the WSJ Video apps works perfectly. Not sure how long they will leave it as getting XML from there server url, but I’ll just turn off auto updates
