Trailers Unavailable

Hello,
I’m trying to set up PlexConnect for my Apple TV. I followed this installation guide:

But when I double click the “PlexConnect.py” file and it runs, it opens and then closes the window after running some code. Then in the Apple TV under trailers it just says “Trailers are Unavailable” obviously because Plex Connect must not be working. Anyone able to help me? I’m a super newb when it comes to this stuff. Thanks

Use this template (copy and paste it here all filled out) for everyone to help you out more efficiently:

The one you have found is way outdated - a couple of new steps necessary (certificates), as Apple decided to switch it’s aTV apps to https.

Thanks for the tip! Is it this guide you’re suggesting using?

So I ran through those steps and got the python code to run in the command window. Got the two certificate files copied over. Set the “Send to Apple” thing to install the certificates and yet the trailers app now still says “Trailers is Unavailble. Try Again Later.” It doesn’t even try to load. I disconnected my ATV from the wall for 20 seconds, rebooted and still instantly displays that message. Any tips?
I attached a screenshot of the end of the command window for plex connect running.

Either the installed certs are bad. Your PlexConnect settings are off. Or you have some firewall securing ports 80/443…
Next time, please attach the log file itself. It’ll be much easier to search and find interesting bits.

If you hit trailers.apple.com:80 :81 and :443 (With https in front of course.) Do the others work and just not 80?

Thank you guys for your responses. I haven’t been able to try anything else due to being busy with work. I want to take a shot at this tomorrow, so let me get a couple clarifying questions.

How do I get the log file from the console (I apologize this is probably an obvious question to you guys)?

When you say “hit” trailers.apple.com:80 :81 and :443 are you saying to try those certificate uploads on the Apple TV. From the guide I just put in: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers.cer
I’m not sure what you both are referring to with the 80, 81, and 443. Are those numbers referring to different parts of the certificate or an address to access the certificate? Sorry for the stupid questions. I’m a total newb.
