Gapless playback is definitely a must-have.
this is a real annoyance , so +1

I don't understand why this isn't supported. I really want to use Plex for more of my music but much of my content gets screwed up by gaps inserted between tracks.
Any news on this
Gapless playback means so much to me that I will +2 it!
Come on dudes, you can't seriously listen to a Pink Floyd album with the gaps!
I have a lot of electronic compilations that are supposed to play gapless so plex is unusable for me as a music solution at present. Hope this is possible devs :)

It seams to me like gapless playback works perfectly on PHT (Windows) but it doesn't on Android devices.
Anyone else the same?
Eventually it would be better to specify better the request.
I'm coming to this thread in disbelief that this isn't already implemented. I figured I HAD to be doing something incorrectly somewhere. This is an absolute MUST for any live recording not to mention classical, progressive rock, and many other styles. I have thousands of hours of live recordings and have made Plex the centerpiece of my AV system. Can we PLEASE get this addressed???? This is huge for me.
EDIT: Gapless playback has been solved in many other players since the late 90's so this isn't a one-off, odd request. It's been solved many times over so I have to imagine this is a fairly straight forward process.
+1 This should be implemented across all clients. Thanks for bringing this up!

YES, I'd really love to have gapless playback... I'm using Plex as much for music as I do for video, so it's a must have for me.
+1 by liking the first post!
OK so yes you get gapless playback in PHT only.
No gapless playback in Media Server.
What's PHT?
I'm running the server on Linux and have Android apps and there is no gapless playback. This should be marked as a bug and not a feature request since Plex is not playing the music correctly.
This thread started in December 2012 and yet apparently nothing has been done; is there a reason why this bug hasn't been fixed? Would anyone from Plex like to comment?
in particular, i'd like to see it in Plex Web (although that is admittedly probably ythe hardest place to add it)
