1.13.0.5023 - Mapped Drives Missing

After installing 1.13.0.5023 on a Win10 Pro box I noticed it can no longer see any mapped drives. I had all my media mapped through v:, t:, etc and PLEX now can’t see any of them.

FYI The work around was for me to go into my libraries, edit the source location, delete the old folder linked through a mapped drive, and replace it with the UNC path (ex: \ etworklocation\foldername) PLEX quickly reconnected my media database to the new UNC based locations. Seems to be even faster actually.

I’ve thought about doing this for awhile, but haven’t yet. So, basically, this method you’ve tried of removing what was working for you previously-but now isn’t working (being able to select a mapped drive letter from one of the locations on the left) and manually typing in the UNC path in its place ? On mine, the mapped drives don’t appear in the list of available locations, but if I just manually input the UNC path (although it’s not listed in the left column of available drives), it theoretically should work?

…for example:
Replacing: /storage/DESKTOP/TV Shows
…with: \DESKTOP\TV Shows

here is a walkthrough guide

Day 2 - PLEX is actually noticeably faster using the UNC paths over the mapped drives model. However this work around did not work for my huge music library and I’ve not been able to make it work. I eventually deleted my music library and have tried to re-add it but it is sitting there scanning but doing nothing. It’s been at it all night and not a damn thing indexed.

Are you running Plex server as a ‘system service’?
