2 questions

Server Version#:1.19.4.2935
I have 2 questions…I cannot figure this out, I have my libraries shared with people…and it seems like they are always going offline, and I cannot figure out why.

The second one is I have a library that is corrupt and will not sync, so within the system, I am able to delete it. But everytime my system goes offline, this corrupt library comes back. How can I permanently delete this and stop it from trying to sync?

You may have a corrupt database. You can check by looking at the log files or via CLI.

Repair a Corrupt Database has information on checking for database corruption and repairing a corrupt database.

To examine the log files:

If your system is already set for debug logs, just pull the log files.
If it is not, set for debug, not verbose, logs. Play a few seconds of two or three items in the corrupt library (so Plex will access its database a few times). Pull the log files.

Look in the Plex Media Server.log files (.log, .1.log, … .5.log). Look for lines with SQLITE3 and with “database corruption” or similar. The format is:
date time hex_number msg_level- SQLITE3:......
msg_level is info, warn, error, debug, etc.

Reporting Issues with Plex Media Server contains information regarding setting Plex Media Server for debug logs and pulling logs.

I dont want this database in my library at all…It is not needed. I cannot play any files in the corrupt library, because Plex says it cannot connect to it at all…I just want to know how to permanently remove it…its not working. I have a new library database that I added,.

It is Plex’s internal database. It is already there. Plex won’t work without it. It holds information about all your libraries and media. If it is corrupt you will have trouble playing your movies/shows/music/etc.

Check to see if your server has a corrupt database.

Alternately, you can simply delete the database. You will lose all your libraries and have to re-create them. Your media is not affected. See the Repair a Corrupt Database support document for additional information.

I would urge you do a complete Plex Uninstall and start again.

Icant believe that is the best way to fix this…that is drastic…I can remove it…but as soon as the system reboots and launches Plex it adds it back,…thats just dumb…
I have had quite a lot of issues with the system being unreachable…Maybe I need to redo the whole thing…but it just seems like they could do this a bit differently.
