So I run 2 Plex Servers on 2 independent systems that were built identical to each other.
One is a PRIMARY and the other is a BACKUP - but both run simultaneously allowing me script to automatically A/B switch in case of failure.
With the same movie files, same naming conventions - one server will find the correct metadata, the other will not.
Thoughts?

You might have set a different scanner/agent for those libraries?

If only it was that easy.

You’d be surprised how often the easy things actually help…
Have you double-checked the agent settings of the 2 servers? (another easy one)

I’m able to do a side-by-side walkthrough of every setting - and they both match across the lines. It’s stumped me completely.
I would start by looking at the agent logs for whatever your primary agent is after scanning a movie in that differs.

There was a recent update - near the end of September - that, so far, ‘seems’ to have corrected this issue… As I have slowed down, heavily, on the number of video additions (almost none) I won’t be able to see any change to this until closer to January (when I will have more additions coming).
