Metadata Not Accessible

Im running two versions of the same server - one on a windows 10 machine on a networked computer and one on a networked hard drive. Both accessed through the windows 10 machine plex version listed above. About a week ago, the PC based server started to fail to find any metadata for movies or TV and when forced to match gives a message “No matches were found using this agent” which is PLEX movie. It finds nothing.

The same file with the same name and folder system (which I have used for years with no issues and I have had this duplicated approach for years as well) scans and pulls metadata automatically. I have gone in and checked the metadata source settings and set the PC version to the same as the networked drive version but still no metadata at all. I assume that something has happened to network access to the metadata but I can still stream from both the PC and the networked drive to plex agents on my phone or TVs. I am beyond confused. I have logged out and back in and I tried making a new library from one of the same networked folders on the pC and that did not work either. Would be thrilled to get any assistance that can be provided.

Since version 1.32.2.7088 there have been some fixes for a bug with the scanner on Windows

I don’t know what version that number is but I would try updating to latest version and see if the problem is resolved

I am using what is being called the “latest version” per my app - Version 1.32.2.7100. I am wondering a recent update led to this issue? Or whether there is an access issue to any metadata server as for that library Plex seems to be drawing a complete blank for even suggested metadata.

The latest version seemed to fix to fix it for most people so I’m not sure

If you can’t create a new library does that mean the option is not even there or it fails giving you an error message? Would you say your server settings are missing?

What OS is your other computer that seems to be working?

  1. check the date and time setting of each computer. It has to be accurate, or secure connections (https) will fail.
  2. use the Beta release for the absolute latest fixes.

Server setting do not seem to be missing and I can make a new library - if it is within the PC-based server it loads the files according to their folder names but does not identify ANY metadata. The networked drive based library works normally. Both servers functioned totally the same/equivalently until a week or two ago and I did not change anything in the PC settings that I am aware of. The time and date is set properly on the PC.
