You can use the direction pad (press right direction) to 30 second skip.
On the joystick? I’m not using the joystick. I’m talking about the media remote. The button that performs 30 second skip in other apps (like HBO, Netflix) doesn’t appear to work in Plex video playback.
On the controller or the remote. I use a Logitech Harmony remote which is essentially the same as the Xbox remote, and I use the directional pad for all skips…30 second forward, 10 second back, and chapter skips with up/down buttons.
The Xbox media remote does not use directional pad controls. All of the other controls on the remote work except 30 sec skip.
I’m talking about this. It’s an actual Microsoft product that is made for the Xbox One. There are also third party versions that use the same communication protocols. It’s not a joystick and it doesn’t use the joystick signals.

Just wanted to thank mbarlski for helping me find this on the remote. That worked. I expected the “next track” button to be 30 sec skip, but it works if you press direction pad right.
