This is a great feature but it only works in movies libraries. I have a 3D camcorder and I suspect more and more people will have them when they discover how much more realistic it makes the content. There isn't going to be any metadata on the web for home videos so it would be nice if I could use the 3D labeling like Christmas 2014.half-sbs.mkv.
If you put this in the Home Video category, you can name it anything you want. Plex does not play 3D movies in 3D, so I am not sure what you are looking for.
Edit: Plex plays the movie as is. It is up to the TV to switch to 3D.
