I have been trying to play a 4K movie on a roku I thought the Synology nas wasn’t strong enough so I tried using my PC that has plenty of power! Gen 9 I7 32 gigs DDR4, GTX1070 hybrid. On a gigabit network! The roku still buffers then gives a playback error! I then tried to play the same movie off the NAS over 4G to my Pixel 3 xl and playback was perfect! Both the Synology and Windows server seem to be unable to send the movie over the local network to a Roku ultra? When looking at the system resources on The PC the CPU and GPU are running below 50% about the same as when I stream it to my phone over 4G with the Wifi off to make sure it’s leaving my home and coming back over cellular.
