I was watching my owned ripped 4K mkv movie on my 2023 Roku Ultra’s Plex app, then switched back and forth to the TV’s slow Plex app, and the movie is definitely much sharper on the LG C9 native plex app.
(I would simply use the TV Plex app, but unfortunately, my LG C9 → Onkyo Atmos eARC introduces audio delays that are unsolvable–LG C9 doesn’t seem to allow eARC audio sync adjustment, and Onkyo can obviously only further delay audio, which is the wrong direction.)
Has anyone else noticed this?
I haven’t begun to deep-dive in to the debugging, but wondered if others had already solved this issue. AFAIK, all my Plex app settings are identical (max bit direct play, etc.). Also, Roku Ultra ethernet is only 100mbps, but I also have its WiFi connected to the latest 5GHz hot spot, so should be >500mbps which should be plenty.
