hello, i have been unable to watch any of my ripped 4k bluray mkv hevc on my device. all other formats work normally. i am able to play the same file on the same device / network with kodi. from reading (also on the server 100% cpu usage) it appears plex is trying to transcode rather than direct play. is this going to be fixed?
Can you post the XML of one of the files?
If you can try playing a file, then after it fails to direct play, turn on debug on the Shield and pull down the log file and post it. That will tell exactly why the client is trying to transcode vs direct play.
I had the same issue and for me it was an audio transcode forcing the problem. In the Plex app under settings then advanced change audio pass through to auto instead of disable.
