4K Video Thumbnails - Image Quality (Tone Mapping)

This, I’m sure, goes along with Plex currently not being able to transcode HDR content, but I’m seeing that video thumbnails created for HDR content creates that washed out look. I’m also noticing that this alters the overall screen image while paused or scrubbing. (I’m viewing on an Apple TV 4K.)

Anyone else seeing this issue?

I can only tell you this.

There is work being done, which will arrive in the near future, to address it.
