64-bit installer not working on Win2008R2 SP1?

Just tried to finally install the 64-bit version of PMS. I downloaded the latest from the website: PlexMediaServer-1.29.0.6244-819d3678c-x86_64, but trying to run it, the installer says that it doesn’t support the version of Windows that I’m running.
However, the Support page → Plex server requirements clearly states that Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 is supported.

Changing compatibility mode isn’t helping either.

Any help would be appreciated.

The 64 bit version doesn’t run on Windows 7, which is no longer supported by Microsoft.
Windows Server 2008 R2 is based on Windows 7 and is also no longer supported by Microsoft.

Thanks!
Updating the support page might to reflect this may add clarification for other users in the same boat as me.

Any EoS date for the x86 version of PMS for this Windows generation?

There is no precise date set.

But, IMHO, it won’t be that much longer.
It simply isn’t viable to invest developer time to upkeep compatibility with an operating system which is no longer maintained by its manufacturer since almost 3 years.
