I have two music libraries; one is my primary library, the other is my ‘extended’ library which includes various singles, albums I’ve not yet listened to etc.
If an album is deemed worthy, it moves to my main library. Without tampering with the database, or doing some slightly risky manoeuvres, there’s no easy way to migrate a file between the two libraries and retain all associated metadata; play-count, rating, etc.
Please consider an option to do this that would retain these values.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to move individual items between libraries. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
