i saw that discord has recently totally redesigned its bot system. there’s even a new option to bring up a youtube interface to watch videos together (on youtube). i was thinking that it would be really amazing to have something similar with plex, there’s already a bot that has been developed that i tried to make work but without success (it’s called mazi) but something official and above all that works would be even better!
what do you think?
The specific new handling of Discord aside… there’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to integrate Plex with Discord. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes (closing this thread as a duplicate).

but I understand that it is not the same thing (especially since the post is from 4 years ago and does not take into account the new discord update)
the person on the other post is asking for a spotify like integration into discord. so i guess it just says on the user profile “watch ___ on plex” the same way it says on the user profile “listen ___ on Spotify”.
what i propose is a watch ogether interface integrated to discord. not just text on discord user profiles
Why would you need a separate app/integration for that?

Feature suggestions aren’t necessarily about specific technical APIs or integrations but what you’re trying to achieve. So the fact that the other thread is a bit older and doesn’t mention a specific API shouldn’t play all that much of a role.
