Just downloaded both Plex app and Media server. Plex app opens with the error in the title every time; trying to open the media server does absolutely nothing. I’ve found several other posts here and elsewhere with people having the same issue but haven’t seen any solutions or explanations. I’ve tried both the 64- and 32-bit versions and have the same issue with each.

I have the same issue, and was hopeful that the problem was newly introduced with the latest version (as of Aug 9th 2025), but I see this error has been around for years. I spent hours and hours yesterday trying to rectify with clean installs etc etc, to no avail. Might try and older version today. But I have never had such issues in the 15 years or so I’ve been running Plex? Grateful for advice, as I’m not convinced the version is the issue
had the same issue with the .exe installer from website. But after some tests i think i have found a workaround. Used the “download from microsoft store” way, this worked fine. After installed then an update was offered and also after update all is running fine at the moment, i mean plex media server can be setup and started successfully. I think this is only a temporary workaround.

I attach server logs without the possibility to configure verbose type. The error triggered when I just tried to configure the server and it says:
“It has been detected a issue witha Plex Media Server Core Component”
“Se ha detectado un problema con un componente del núcleo de Plex Media Server.”
What should I do? Thanks in advance for your help!!
Same problem here now server is not rechable. I tried deleting and reistalling plex media server. Can’t reach server. Can you just delete the account and juct create another account? If that is possise will I still get my Lifetine Plex Pass with the new account?

This was a new raspberry pi system where the OS was installed same day. I believe this is a problem in the latest build. I setup another R PI a week ago with the same config and this error did not come up. I can provide logs if needed.
