Thinking along the lines of the .nomedia feature in Android to stop the system seeing certain folders…
I have all my films in the root of a hard drive.
They’re the only things (IE, no TV series or whatever) on that hard drive so didn’t put them in a separate folder for Plex to read.
However, on that same hard drive, I do have some test material for calibrating TVs. It’s too big to move elsewhere. I named the folder zzz_Stuff so in Windows explorer, it’s right at the end and thus not really noticeable.
I know, I know, the answer could be to put all the movies in a folder and add that folder to a Plex library but it’s 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.
But I think it could be useful if you want to add things gradually, or test some specific folders. Being able to exclude some folders from Plex by adding some sort of .nomedia file or something would be a lot easier than having to arrange files in a certain way, that is a little strange when looking at it from a Windows Explorer point of view.
