Can you tell Plex to ignore folders/files?

Is there a way to mix files that Plex can see and can’t see?

For example, if I have a 500Gb drive filled with films, but a 100Gb folder has some files in it to do with TV calibration. I can’t really move it elsewhere.

Now obviously Plex has picked this up.
I can’t click on it (in Plex) and delete as that will delete the files.

I guess there’s no way to “hide” the folder from Plex?

Move the TV Folder to the Root.
Libraries need to contain the media Plex sees.
Get everything else out of there.

Either move the TV Calibration stuff - or Move the Movies.
You pick.

You could try this: Special Keyword File/Folder Exclusion

Note the heading: Excluding New Content with .plexignore

In all honesty, I’d have to agree with JuiceWSA, those files likely shouldn’t be in the movie library folder structure.

I would.

And After the Eviction - scan, empty trash, clean bundles, optimize database.

That’s what I would do.
Having that stuff in there would give me the heebie-jeebies.
I’d very likely rebuild the Movie Library - 'cause I know me.
(and any damage that’s been done - is done)

Problem is, the movies are all in the root of the drive. I didn’t see the point in having a hard drive with a single folder containing all the movies.

Don’t really have space on other drives and still seems stupid to move all movies into a specific folder on the hard drive when they’re the only thing on there.

I’ll take a look at the other way.
But a fairly simple feature to add perhaps.

Well - you need to fix that ASAP.

Media don’t go on the root of drives - they go in Library Folders.
Now you have to rebuild the Movie Library - and it’s the best thing - honestly.

Do **not** use the root of your drive as a folder location. It will cause problems. Make an appropriate folder and put your media in that, such as D:/Movies
