Ability to overide/modify metadata agents for cast/actors images somehow

Thank you - I would dearly love to be able to change the metadata images locally for actor images in movie pages in Plex…rather than relying on whatever you get with IMBD/TMDB. THOSE images are simply ones curated by whoever works at those 2 databases and are often not representative of the actor for me - even insulting IMO. I know you can edit the images at TMDB, but still you are relying on whoever is administering to that - THEIR preferences. I’ve tried this and gotten into some minor conflicts with them. The real reason I would like to do this out of deep respect and love for these actors (mostly hundreds Hong Kong/Taiwan action, Yakuza and Samurai films that I own) and also to see the movie and cast displayed as I would like to see it…also I could fill in the hundreds of missing images that are simply the result of no-one at the databases taking the time to find images for that actor. I LOVE that I can edit the poster of a movie - even creating them sometimes. We’re able to edit pretty much everything but cast images (poster and background, description and tags etc). Why not? This feature would make an already dynamic and robust application, better!

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to change actor/cast images on your server individually. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes between those threads.

Unless I’ve missed some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Close this if you like, but I would appreciate a response from plex as to why editing cast images in the application is not possible. Also, my post advocates MUCH more expansively and dare I say passionately for this feature - IE: I believe that more commenters would respond to it. Also, your immediate response as an administrator without any qualification of the issue and what Plex is possibly doing about it, doesn’t feel friendly. I know - you’re just doing your job…In other words, I could have posted it as an issue, rather than a feature suggestion. Know what I mean? Cheers ;o

You’re very welcome to passionately advocate in the existing suggestion thread.

No unfriendliness intended – just trying to help getting those suggestions the best attention they should get. Having multiple requests for the same topic will result in attention/votes being split among them.
