Have an option via the specific movie or tv show’s tool bar to scan for media changes instead of having to scan the entire TV or Movie library. Sometimes one episode needs to be corrected and I just need to scan the one shows folder to update the new episode file. This would cut down on wear of hard drives and scanning huge amounts of storage.
Refresh Metadata used to do this, but stopped (and apparently was a bug lol) a couple years ago.
I have an after-download script setup in Sonarr to rescan an individual series folder after replacements, new additions, etc… I use Mac, so the syntax is Bash. You can do the same thing with Powershell in Windows though.
#! /bin/bash
seriespath="${sonarr_series_path}"
if [ -z "$seriespath" ];
then
exit 0
else
/Applications/Plex\ Media\ Server.app/Contents/MacOS/Plex\ Media\ Scanner --scan --refresh --section 4 --directory "$seriespath"
fi
exit 0

There’s already an existing feature suggestion discussing such an option. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes and attention.
I’ll therefore close this thread as a duplicate.
