To make PGS subtitles easier for people with vision problems to see, please add an option to add a background to PGS subtitles, ideally also with the option to add padding. For example, this: [S5E01 Stuck Together_exp_0005] Would be turned into this: [Untitled 2]

This only works with text-based subtitles. Not with PGS or VOBSUB. These you’d have to convert first.

I’m bumping this old topic because this feature was supposed to be implemented. And it still hasn’t. My family have several people that are deaf and have vision problems and need the subtitles to have a background. Every other streaming service has this built in the player (amazon, netflix, youtube…

[image] OriginalTealus: It’s literally an option in nearly every text draw command. PGS subtitles are not text. They are pictures.

Then explain why the XBox Plex app can do it but the Apple Plex app can’t. It’s also literally an option in nearly every graphical draw command too. There is zero reason to not have it enabled on all plex apps when it’s available on the Xbox app.
