A lot of Kids TV Shows is aired with multiple episodes together as also some adult animations and they are a lot of times on TVDB as individual episodes in metadata on main order. There is now also Joined order option that is available on the TVDB and their api. And in Plex it is only Aired, DVD, Absolute order. Would be great to add Joined order from TVDB also as an option. Should be an easy adjustment as it is just part of advanced option for scraping that is already in Plex just needs additional option…
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing the option to add support for the available alternative episode orders from TMDb and TVDb. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
As it was from 2020 and you implemented part of it I thought it needs a new call-out to update slightly what is already implemented with additional master data options as new orders were added on TVDB and in Plex the solution is hardcoded to 3 orders. I voted now on the other suggestion feature.
